Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations, which included the work Hauling in the nets in the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius beyond by Gioacchino La Pira. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,673.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Gioacchino La Pira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,259.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hauling in the nets in the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius beyond von Gioacchino La Pira zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.673,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gioacchino La Pira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.259,73).
