Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Tensione e segni by Giò Pomodoro was worth EUR 14,000.00 to a buyer in December 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Giò Pomodoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studio per la Grande folla in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 89,300,000.00 (€ 82,171.61).

Die Arbeit Tensione e segni von Giò Pomodoro war einem Käufer im Dezember 2019 EUR 14.000,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Il Ponte erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giò Pomodoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studio per la Grande folla im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 89.300.000,00 (€ 82.171,61).
