The work Albero by Giò Pomodoro was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in December 2019. The result of EUR 10,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giò Pomodoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studio per la Grande folla in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 89,300,000.00 (€ 82,171.61).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Albero von Giò Pomodoro wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giò Pomodoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studio per la Grande folla im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 89.300.000,00 (€ 82.171,61).
