Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gina Beavers could be acquired at Phillips in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Matte Lip changed hands for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,018.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Gina Beavers have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June last year by the work Lips with Painter’s Lips at HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,866.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gina Beavers konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Matte Lip für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.018,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Gina Beavers wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres die Arbeit Lips with Painter’s Lips mit HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.866,50).
