This artwork by Gina Beavers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2021. In the New Now auction, the work Based on Milk by Marlies Plank sold for USD 30,240.00 (€ 26,120.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gina Beavers; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lips with Painter’s Lips sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,866.50).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gina Beavers; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lips with Painter’s Lips im Juni letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.866,50).
