Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow by Gillian Carnegie was sold in the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London auction at Christies in London in September 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,790.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gillian Carnegie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prince in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 74,008.77).
