Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Miss Taylor by Gilbert Spencer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,042.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gilbert Spencer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man at a sluice gate on the Thames in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,695.82).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Miss Taylor von Gilbert Spencer kam im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.042,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
