Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Group of Trees by Gilbert Spencer was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,344.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gilbert Spencer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man at a sluice gate on the Thames in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,695.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Group of Trees von Gilbert Spencer kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.344,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gilbert Spencer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man at a sluice gate on the Thames im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.695,82).
