Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gilbert Gaul could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work You'D Better Be Good changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,490.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gilbert Gaul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Song Of Victory in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 118,441.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gilbert Gaul konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit You'D Better Be Good für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.490,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gilbert Gaul erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Song Of Victory im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 118.441,26).
