This artwork by Giacomo Quarenghi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2010. In the Living with Design: The Collections of Walter Lees and Mr NC. auction, the work Elevation of the church of the cemetary of Kazan, Tsarskoye Selo sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,532.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giacomo Quarenghi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four views of Bakhchiserai in the Crimea: Houses along the river; The walls of a mosque; A lane with a view of mountains; and A mosque among trees in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,147.58).

In der Auktion Living with Design: The Collections of Walter Lees and Mr NC. wurde die Arbeit Elevation of the church of the cemetary of Kazan, Tsarskoye Selo für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.532,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00.
