In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Presentation of the Newborn by Giacomo Mantegazza. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,392.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Mantegazza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian Passa Il Re (The King Passes) in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 52,160.58).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Presentation of the Newborn von Giacomo Mantegazza zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.392,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Mantegazza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian Passa Il Re (The King Passes) im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 52.160,58).
