Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ghada Amer could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the By Women, For Tomorrow's Women auction, the work Girl With Red Hair changed hands for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,945.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ghada Amer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ghada Amer konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion By Women, For Tomorrow's Women wechselte die Arbeit Girl With Red Hair für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.945,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00.
