Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Mother and Children, 1904 by Gertrude Käsebier for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,515.35). This price was achieved in the auction An American Journey: The Diann G. and Thomas A. Mann Collection of Photographic Masterworks at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gertrude Käsebier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rodin, c. 1905 in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mother and Children, 1904 von Gertrude Käsebier für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.515,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion An American Journey: The Diann G. and Thomas A. Mann Collection of Photographic Masterworks bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gertrude Käsebier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rodin, c. 1905 im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
