This artwork by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2002. In the NINETEENTH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction, the work A turtle sold for EUR 4,541.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flamengo'S, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 15,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof erzielte im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion NINETEENTH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART wurde die Arbeit A turtle für EUR 4.541,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flamengo'S beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 15.600,00 versteigert wurde.
