It achieved a price of USD 765.00 (€ 715.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gerrit Hondius; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Circus figures; and Two women sold at auction in July 2004 with the realized price of USD 1,075.50 (€ 893.87).

(29.3 x 39.4 cm) von Gerrit Hondius kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 715,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gerrit Hondius; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Circus figures; and Two women im Juli 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.075,50 (€ 893,87).
