Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Madonna and Child by Gerrit Hondius for USD 89.25 (€ 83.77). This price was achieved in the auction Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 100.00 – 200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerrit Hondius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Circus figures; and Two women in July 2004 with an auction result of USD 1,075.50 (€ 893.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Madonna and Child von Gerrit Hondius für USD 89,25 (€ 83,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Hondius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Circus figures; and Two women im Juli 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.075,50 (€ 893,87).
