A top price for Gerrit Benner
The work Zomers Landschap by Gerrit Benner was sold in the Twentieth Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2007. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 72,250.00 45% above the upper estimate. With this result, Zomers Landschap is even the most expensive work of art by Gerrit Benner that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Zomers Landschap von Gerrit Benner wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 72.250,00 und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Zomers Landschap sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gerrit Benner, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
