It achieved a price of EUR 2,250.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Admittedly, works by German Grobe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Anchoring the Bomschuit in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 18,000.00.

Die Arbeit Figures in the dunes von German Grobe wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.250,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von German Grobe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Anchoring the Bomschuit im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.000,00.
