The work A Shell-Fisher in the Surf by German Grobe was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2010. It achieved a price of EUR 5,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by German Grobe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Anchoring the Bomschuit, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 18,000.00.

Die Arbeit A Shell-Fisher in the Surf von German Grobe wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 5.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67 %. Für andere Arbeiten von German Grobe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Anchoring the Bomschuit beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 18.000,00 versteigert wurde.
