In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work A street scene in Paris by Germ de Jong. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Germ de Jong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stilleven Met Rooie Lap - A Still Life With Flowers And A Red Cloth, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 32,900.00 (€ 15,813.28).

Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A street scene in Paris von Germ de Jong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Germ de Jong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stilleven Met Rooie Lap - A Still Life With Flowers And A Red Cloth beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 32.900,00 (€ 15.813,28) versteigert wurde.
