In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work A Still Life With Flowers In A Ginger Jar by Germ de Jong. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Germ de Jong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stilleven Met Rooie Lap - A Still Life With Flowers And A Red Cloth in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 15,813.28).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Flowers In A Ginger Jar von Germ de Jong zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Germ de Jong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stilleven Met Rooie Lap - A Still Life With Flowers And A Red Cloth im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 15.813,28).
