The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,446.33), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerasimos Steris - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 57,600.00 (€ 84,762.30).

Die Arbeit Greek figures von Gerasimos Steris wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.446,33) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerasimos Steris mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 57.600,00 (€ 84.762,30) versteigert wurde.
