Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Landscape by Gerasimos Steris was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2010. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,716.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerasimos Steris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 57,600.00 (€ 84,762.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek Landscape von Gerasimos Steris wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.716,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerasimos Steris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.600,00 (€ 84.762,30).
