Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape With Figures by Gerasimos Steris was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,751.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerasimos Steris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 57,600.00 (€ 84,762.30).

Die Arbeit Landscape With Figures von Gerasimos Steris kam im Mai 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.751,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerasimos Steris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.600,00 (€ 84.762,30).
