In November 2012 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work Forze Ascensionali by Gerardo Dottori. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 63,150.00 40% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerardo Dottori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aerei-vele-lago, which sold at auction in November 2010 for EUR 164,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Forze Ascensionali von Gerardo Dottori zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 63.150,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerardo Dottori mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aerei-vele-lago beobachtet, die im November 2010 für EUR 164.600,00 versteigert wurde.
