Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work A Still Life With Pickled Herring On A Dish by Gerard Röling. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard Röling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plums in a dish in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 17,925.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Pickled Herring On A Dish von Gerard Röling zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard Röling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plums in a dish im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.925,00.
