Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with flowers in a glass by Gerard Röling. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gerard Röling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plums in a dish in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 17,925.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with flowers in a glass von Gerard Röling zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerard Röling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plums in a dish im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.925,00.
