Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Portrait of a boy from the Ashley-Cooper family, half-length, wearing a red cloak and a white shirt by Gerard Soest was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2018. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Soest - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a boy from the Ashley-Cooper family, half-length, wearing a blue wrap and a white shirt with a dog in a landscape, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,563.55).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Portrait of a boy from the Ashley-Cooper family, half-length, wearing a red cloak and a white shirt von Gerard Soest wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.711,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
