Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 4,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Röling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Plums in a dish, which sold at auction in June 2003 for EUR 17,925.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A still life with gooseberries and flowers in a glass on a ledge von Gerard Röling kam im März 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 4.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.700,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard Röling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Plums in a dish beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für EUR 17.925,00 versteigert wurde.
