Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Celebrants at a shrine of Diana by Gerard Hoet I. It changed hands for a price of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 15,199.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Hoet I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mars paying homage to Venus, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,324.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Celebrants at a shrine of Diana von Gerard Hoet I zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 15.199,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard Hoet I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mars paying homage to Venus beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.324,70) versteigert wurde.
