Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In The Potato Garden by Gerard Dillon was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,239.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard Dillon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dreamer in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 416,806.45).
