Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Across from Inishlacken by Gerard Dillon was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 110,951.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Dillon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dreamer, which sold at auction in September 2020 for GBP 378,000.00 (€ 416,806.45).

Die Arbeit Across from Inishlacken von Gerard Dillon wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 110.951,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
