Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerard Dillon could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, the work Dreamer changed hands for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,788.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard Dillon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dreamer in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 416,806.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard Dillon konnte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Dreamer für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.788,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard Dillon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dreamer im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 416.806,45).
