Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl Hiding by Gerard Dillon was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 117,270.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Dillon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dreamer, which sold at auction in September 2020 for GBP 378,000.00 (€ 416,806.45).

Die Arbeit Girl Hiding von Gerard Dillon kam im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 117.270,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard Dillon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dreamer beobachtet, die im September 2020 für GBP 378.000,00 (€ 416.806,45) versteigert wurde.
