This artwork by Gerard Dillon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Yeats: The Family Collection auction, the work Abstract Forms sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,119.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard Dillon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dreamer in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 416,806.45).

In der Auktion Yeats: The Family Collection wurde die Arbeit Abstract Forms für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.119,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard Dillon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dreamer im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 416.806,45).
