Auction result well in line with expectations
The work VB II (Victoria Beckham), 2008 by Gerald Laing was sold in the British. Cool. auction at Bonhams in London in February 2021. The price achieved of GBP 573.75 (€ 661.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Laing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beach Wear in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,743,457.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit VB II (Victoria Beckham), 2008 von Gerald Laing wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion British. Cool. bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 573,75 (€ 661,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Laing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beach Wear im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.743.457,40).
