The work Trees in Snow by Georgia O'Keeffe was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 50,400.00 (€ 45,434.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georgia O'Keeffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 44,405,000.00 (€ 35,701,077.34).

Die Arbeit Trees in Snow von Georgia O'Keeffe wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 45.434,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georgia O'Keeffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.405.000,00 (€ 35.701.077,34).
