Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction CoBrA Now, which included the work Composition by Georges Collignon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Georges Collignon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2007 the work Exercice was auctioned for EUR 12,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion CoBrA Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Georges Collignon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Georges Collignon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2007 die Arbeit Exercice für EUR 12.250,00 versteigert.
