Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Sans Titre - 1960 by Georges Collignon was worth EUR 6,560.00 to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georges Collignon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Exercice sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of EUR 12,250.00.
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1960 von Georges Collignon war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres EUR 6.560,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georges Collignon; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Exercice im Dezember 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 12.250,00.
