Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Icone or Argent by Georges Collignon was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Collignon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exercice, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 12,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Icone or Argent von Georges Collignon wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Collignon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Exercice beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 12.250,00 versteigert wurde.
