Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction Sporting and Wildlife Art, which included the work On the way to the meet; and Between stages by George Wright. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,857.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by George Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting and Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the way to the meet; and Between stages von George Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.857,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Wright auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casting About; And Gone To Earth im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.363,80).
