Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Gone away! by George Wright. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,158.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by George Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casting About; And Gone To Earth in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gone away! von George Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.158,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Wright auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casting About; And Gone To Earth im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.363,80).
