In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Landscape by George Washington Lambert. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 27,485.00 (€ 16,895.18), 37% above the upper estimate. Other works by George Washington Lambert have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 44,650.00 (€ 26,935.17) in November 2003 for the work Miss Alison Preston.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 27.485,00 (€ 16.895,18) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von George Washington Lambert haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von AUD 44.650,00 (€ 26.935,17) im November 2003 für die Arbeit Miss Alison Preston beobachtet.
