In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian The Ford Across The Jordan At Jizra Benat Jacob sold for AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,951.98) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 16,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Washington Lambert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Miss Alison Preston sold at auction in November 2003 with the realized price of AUD 44,650.00 (€ 26,935.17).
