Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work A quiet spot at Ingleby, Derbyshire by George Turner. The price achieved of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,344.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Turner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Scotch Ford, Ben Voirlich in the Distance in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 10,222.50 (€ 16,203.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A quiet spot at Ingleby, Derbyshire von George Turner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.152,00 (€ 1.344,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Turner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Scotch Ford, Ben Voirlich in the Distance im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.222,50 (€ 16.203,92).
