Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Phone Booth, 3 A.M., Rahway, New Jersey, 1974 by George Tice was auctioned at Christies in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,543.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Tice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Petit's Mobil Station and Watertower, Cherry Hill, N.J. in October this year with an auction result of USD 24,130.00 (€ 22,833.08).
