Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work 'Telephone Booth, 3 A.M., Rahway, New Jersey' by George Tice for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,633.61). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by George Tice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Petit's Mobil Station and Watertower, Cherry Hill, N.J. in October this year with an auction result of USD 24,130.00 (€ 22,833.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Telephone Booth, 3 A.M., Rahway, New Jersey' von George Tice für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.633,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Tice auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Petit's Mobil Station and Watertower, Cherry Hill, N.J. im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.130,00 (€ 22.833,08).
