Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Ivory Soap by George Stoll for USD 375.00 (€ 263.73). This price was achieved in the auction House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Stoll achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,050.13).
