In the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Portrait Of Clotilda Von Derp (Frau Sakharoff) sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,913.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Spencer Watson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Orange Dress, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 57,159.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von George Spencer Watson erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Clotilda Von Derp (Frau Sakharoff) für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.913,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Spencer Watson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Orange Dress beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 57.159,89) versteigert wurde.
