The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,521.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Spencer Watson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Orange Dress in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 57,159.89).
